Jaisalmer Fort
Jaisalmer fort was built in 1156 by the Rajput ruler Jaisala.
The Jaisalmer fort seems to rise out of the desert haze, its yellow sandstone walls and bastions taking on a golden hue in the afternoon sun. In fact, at whatever time of the day you look at the Golden Fort, it looks like a fairy tale creation. The fort dominates the small city that spreads around it.
Patwon Ki Haveli
It is one of the largest and most elaborate houses in Jaisalmer. It is five storeys high, extensively carved. It is divided in to six apartments two owned by the Archaeological Survey of India, Two by families who operate craft shops here, and two private homes.
Aakal
16 Km from Jaisalmer golden city of Rajasthan, Aakal is a Fossil Park where 180 million years ago stood a forest. the fossil trunks lie scattered in this park.
Godsisar Sagar Tank
The beautiful arched gateway across the road down to the tank is said to have been built by a prostitute. A scenic rain water lake with numerous beautiful shrines around. The lake is an idyllic spot for outings.
